Once the “unHampton,” Sag Harbor and its surrounding areas are now among the most sought-after outposts on the entire East End.

The former eastern whaling capital frequently included in “Most Charming” lists in national and international media. It’s long been a haven for creative types- including authors such as Steinbeck, Melville, Cooper, Capote, and Doctorow, to name a few- and from its start in the early 1700s, the bayfront village has been a draw for all sorts of independent and unique personalities.

The coastal community is as much known for its fiercely independent streak and welcoming spirit as its many famous writers and artists have resided here.
